My Story

In 2013, Suzanne Martin founded transform. and has been using her skills to help change the lives of individuals, organizations, churches and communities ever since. Suzanne believes that true leadership emerges when ordinary people work together to solve problems, creating lasting, tangible and constructive change.

“No matter where my career path has taken me over the years, everything has pointed me back to this point,” she says. “I see my life and my consulting as a calling to live a purposeful life.”

Prior to the foundation of transform., Suzanne spent seven years at the Leading Edge Institute, serving as both Executive Director and Program Director. LEI provided a statewide program for college women committed to changing the face of leadership in Alabama. Suzanne’s leadership brought more women to decision-making roles and a greater opportunity for a prosperous and equitable Alabama for all.

Suzanne also spent 15 years at Samford University, serving in various roles, culminating in her role as Director of Leadership Education. In addition, she was an adjunct faculty member, developing and teaching a service-based leadership course, Foundations of Leadership. “I am passionate about helping others learn to be most effective in their leadership roles,” Suzanne says. “From students to executives, it’s exciting to see the methods I teach being put into practice for a successful outcome.”
